爱密丽与绝对男友
最近刚看完《绝对男友〉，真希望自己也有一个！我不是说目前这个不好，只是我是个自私鬼。我要他在我需要的时候，他便能马上出现。但是事实并非如此，还记得上次我生了一场超大的病，连从床起来的力气也没有却没人照顾，当时实在感到万分地凄凉。（哭）当我已经快复原了，他才出现。只能用一句话形容，就是 'pissed off!' 虽然我知道那也是没办法，但是心里就是不爽！所以我才说要一个绝对男友有多好。故事中的奈特是个无论是外形或是感情都跟人类一模一样的人型。因他毕竟不是人，所以也会坏掉而得必须送回公司修理。虽然如此，他还是一直想陪伴着理雯子（女朋友），所以便要求公司把自己的记忆暂时输入在另一个身体内。因此奈特变成了一个12公分大的小人形。即使身形变得好小，他还是照常地照顾理雯子，为她做饭（早上起身的时候还替她挤牙膏）。真是太贴心、可爱了。我在想：即使能够调换位置也不错，缩小成12公分打的我便能住在他的口袋做个'girlfriend in a pocket'，陪他去南非！（就算没有现代的卫生设施，无法冲个好凉而且还需要挖洞拉屎，也会尽量忍下去的。）

爱密丽与布拉格
眼看已经有大概四个月没在这布拉格里写些什么了。还记得第一次写布拉格是在七年前，那时候还觉得拥有一个布拉格很酷，因为身边没几个人在写。当时的我对于写布拉格十分积极，几乎每天都会写些有的没的。不只这样，我还常希望有人会读一读我所写地，并且认同我的想法。可是长大之后的想法迥然不同了。现在的我认为，要是有人正在读我所写地会很奇怪，因为跟本不晓得读者到底是什么人，也不知道是自己的朋友或是素不相逢的陌生人。我是个习惯把不好的事往肚子里吞的任，所以即使自己遇到什么不如意的事也不想与朋友分担，何况是陌生人！
回想起来，过去的自己真的很奇怪。最喜欢的就是在布拉格的一旁写关于自己的资料。例如：名字、外号（虽然我是没几个啦）、年龄（有可能因为要过第五次的十八岁生日所以不想再放了）。现在的我跟本不希望任何人知道我的事。我不想有一天走在街上的时候被人认出来（太自以为是了吧！你以为你是被狗崽队穷追不舍的大明星吗？）。不是啦，就是我不想有那种即使我没开口说却别人已经知道我的内心事的感觉。所以近几年所写的都非常肤浅，有如买了什么新玩样、世界为何有那么多白吃之类。
我这么会想要再次写布拉格呢？也许我看已经那么久没写了，再加上我想也没有几个人会来阅读吧。心理总觉得会比较“安心”与”安全“，而且也没有几个人想阅读用中文写的布拉格（至少我是这样的人，哈哈）。这些日子我的心情十分差。接下来的几天也许会在回来唠叨几句。但是我能很肯定的说我今后不会像以前那样写说今天吃了或买了什么的东西了，反而我想写一些抽象的东西，这样一来即使当我在写帖近心的事情，也不会有人看得明白。希望是如此吧。

Holl-a! From the ditch I dug myself in. Just when I thought my Nike craze has died, VS rolls in with cute as hell panties and sexy day dresses. Right now I'm still fretting over when they will arrive. It's a long shot but I hope it's before CNY. VS craze is starting to die down after my order was placed then boom! Back comes Nike with the Spring 2008 collection. The focus is back on dance again from the boring yoga shizz. I can't be happier except that I am drowned in fashion debt now. :/
On a brighter note, there's a teenage cat that has been treating the entire neighborhood as his home. While fretting over what to cook for dinner, he suddenly strutted through the front door as though he belonged there! Before I got over my shock, my boy was throwing socks at him, trying to shoo him out. He thought it was play time so we ended up all playing together. LOL. When it got late, my boy led him out the gate and he actually followed. What a clever boy - the cat, I mean. He returned the next day to chew on the grass patch outside and we took a bunch of pictures. I thought he was so pretty with the ginger coloring, tiger-like stripes and golden eyes . Since his owner hadn't put his name on the collar, we decided to call him Kaypoh Kat. I do hope I get to see him again this weekend! I've got a soft spot for animals with eyes in front.

It is quite annoying to meet people who think they are better than everybody else. It irks me even more when they lay their stupidity out on a buffet platter for all to see. My most disliked module for this semester appeared to have a truckful of people like that. The content was unfortunate - as were the professor and tutor. I honestly wasn't expecting stellar performances from those categories but what I experienced was truly beyond my expectations.
1) Content - Dry as a bale of hay.
2) Professor - SOB. Lowlights included unwelcomed sarcasm and an overt lack of openness to questions.
3) Tutor - Like a statue cast in stone, he sat motionless through each tutorial. Did nothing to contain or diffuse the tense atmosphere in tutorial.
and finally
4) Tutorial mates - Jackasses. Two particular incidents were clearly etched in my memory.
The first being, some Economics major freak (sorry XB. I know you're the Econs girl and everything but the facts are as they are) tried to shoot everyone down with his "impressive" knowledge of statistical analysis and economics. Evidently, no one understood a word that came out of the biggest hole in his face which prompted him to finish off with a "I'm an Econs major, OKAY" with a condescending sneer. It was revolting. Hey kid, I don't care if you can do regression analysis with your toes. You disgust me. There is a reason why girls don't date guys like you. If you had chiseled features and a hot bod, you could make up for the half fucked personality. Or if you had fine manners and the air of a gentleman, you would have made up for the geeky frame you wake up in everyday. I wonder whose fault it is that you have the wretched fate of getting stuck in a nerd's body with an garbage can attitude.
The second came about the last week of tutorials. What should have been a joyous ending to a tortuous term of tutorials ended in tragedy. Another freak (the only reason this one didn't boast about his area of concentration was probably coz he was too young to have specialized yet) displayed his complete lack of manners and loathsome attitude when he invited the class for feedback in his Q&A session. Well meaning comments from the audience were met with vehement objection and insistence that "my answers are absolutely correct. your conclusions are completely baseless". Explanations on his logic were peppered with "oh come on", "oh my goodness, don't you get it". By the way, he was the lone presenter while the rest of us got to work in groups. No prizes for guessing why.
Here is a poem dedicated to you two nutcases. You really deserve each other. Bet you wished your paths crossed more than they already have.

Not a day passes without me thinking how lucky I am to have my boy. Just yesterday he showed up in school as a surprise for me. I didn't really suspect anything until the last few moments. I was really proud that he found me inside the building when he only drove me to the entrance before. He must be born perfect.

Ipod Touch (IPT) was supposed to launch on Friday 28 September 2007. In my excitement, I rang up the stores closest to me when the clock hit 11 00hours on Friday morning. Epicentre hadn't had their stock in yet. "A few days more." Bummer. Mac @ Juzz1 (J8) said, "Yes it's in." I was about to holler "OH YEAHHHHH" but I held back and composed myself, "So it's for walk-in customers?" Yes, it is, he said. I changed and whipped out of the house in about 10 seconds.
My happiness practically evaporated into nothingness when I stood in the store. There wasn't any iPods in sight. Not even 5G classics or 2G nanos. You have got to be kidding me. You call yourself an Authorized Apple reseller? What they had were only accessories and silicon cases which you'd probably expect from the pushcarts at Bugis. To cut the long story short, I still don't know who's the a-hole who gave me some extremely inaccurate information. I'm seriously never going to patronize these small little shops again. :/
Fast forward to Saturday, I convinced myself they had to get the stock in. It's the weekend! Any shrewd businessman would do their darndest best to get a hot new product in for the weekend crowd even if it means paying a premium for expedited delivery. Isn't it?
So with my Boy in tow, we headed out to town where they had two huge ass Apple resellers. Epicentre still hadn't got the goods in. How about iShop? They were packing with a shitload of people from what I could see through the window glass. Could it be? As we approached the entrance of the store, two words under the promotional picture of IPT were gleaming right in front of me.

Lo and behold, the demo set was in the palms of an uncle and his wife. Luckily they finished their inspection quickly enough. I might have spit fire if I had to wait long to fiddle with it, but I didn't. The screen is really awesome and as far as I could see, there wasn't any 'negative blacks' plaguing it. I must have been in and out of the place in 5 mins though it swear it feels like eternity. The memory evades me completely.
I've sync-ed my photos, music, videos (America's Next Top Model Cycle 9!) which I can watch on the way to school! I was watching my stuff on Creative Zen V Plus previously which gave me a headache coz of the small screen (1.5" vs 3.5") and absurb file size inflation, limiting me to only half a movie in the device. I'm not ditching it entirely. It's still going on jogs with me. So I've been playing with my IPT for about 2 days now and can finally bear to pull myself away to put up some pictures.
Alternative use 1: As a mirror.
Alternative use 2: BookmarkIt is really crazy how thin it is - about 8mm. It doesn't have maybe half of the apps that are on the iPhone but it doesn't matter to me coz I still think my L'amour phone is pretty damn awesome.
This is my wallpaper - a picture of a coconut tree from Sentosa taken by my Boy.
One of the folders from my Photo Album. I have about 300++ pictures in it. Tap on one of the small icons and get to
slideshow mode. This makes for a pretty good digital photoframe too, actually.
Pinch in/out to zoom in/out. I get a kick out of doing this. Even before I bought IPT, my Boy asked me what's so great. I just show him the pinch in/out action.
He made a face like this. -_- Now he doesn't anymore, of coz, having tried it for himself.
Slide your fingers across the screen to go to the next picture, or just flick to go real fast.
This is what I call the normal view of looking at your music.
I very much prefer the Cover Flow way just like in iTunes. Very interactive.
The Safari browser is a major thing for me too. I don't have to carry my laptop around on days when I only need to use the Internet and not other stuff.
Turn it to the side and view in landscape mode.
Same thing with pictures. I can pinch in/out to read.
I learnt it's way easier to type in landscape mode coz the buttons are too small in portrait mode and unless you have abnormally skinny fingers, you'd keep hitting the wrong letters.
IPT has a very user-friendly UI. The screen alone is just plain awesome.
